Rosehill barn

Rosehill barn is a sympathetically renovated farm building in the grounds of our 16th Century grade II* listed hall house, Hill. Rosehill has vaulted ceilings, hand carved beams and velux windows making it light and airy throughout.

Our comfortable cosy living room has a dining area (which can double as an office if you have to work), & a soft seating area for relaxing. We provide a smart TV in the living room and a flat screen TV with firestick in the bedroom for streaming your favourite programmes via the high speed Wifi. We also provide a selection of DVD’s and books for your use, as there’s nothing better than a classic movie to cosy up after a good walk.

There is a comfortable king-sized bed, which can be converted to twin beds if necessary. We use good quality cotton bedding and there are spare pillows and blankets in the fitted wardrobe which also has a hairdryer and iron / ironing board within.

Our custom built kitchenette has a real quality feel, it boasts a twin hob, sink & microwave oven with grill, beside is a fridge with freezer compartment for ice and small items. The sink is set into a granite surround, but best of all you can close the doors and shut it away when you have finished cooking.

It is set in a quiet area of North Devon, between the market town of Barnstaple, hikers paradise Exmoor National Park and the many beaches of the area, the surrounding countryside is of rolling hills and wooded valleys.

We manage the whole property with the environment in mind, so energy efficiency, re use, recycling, composting and using less environmentally damaging products are important to us. We also manage the land to benefit the wildlife in the area. Rosehill is well insulated & double glazed, benefits from heating from an external boiler, our solar panels feed into the property & all our lights are LED.

There are large enclosed gardens from which guests are welcome to enjoy the tranquillity of the area, and it’s great for star gazing at night, as we are in the dark skies area, as there is little light pollution.
